Additional Mortgage Relief for Tri-Valley Homeowners

February 11, 2008

“Project LTri-Valley Mortgage Reliefifeline” is the latest in the Treasury Department and the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s arsenal to help combat the mortgage crisis that is impacting the Tri-Valley real estate market.  The program is expected to be introduced on Tuesday.  The dominant lenders have banned together to implement the program to allow overdue homeowners to suspend foreclosures for 30 days. The key to this plan is that it involves all loans, not just subprime loans.

RJ’s Paint Shop: A Superior Tri-Valley Paint and Body Shop

February 9, 2008

Who would have known that one of the best paint and body shops is found right here in the Tri-Valley’s very own backyard?  Pleasanton is home to RJ’s Paint Shop, a company who specializes in custom paint work and body shop repair for your vehicle. RJ and his crew are very dedicated to their craft and have built up quite a following.  Referrals originate throughout the Tri-Valley, and RJ and his crew have garnered attention down in Southern RJ’s Paint ShopCalifornia, as well.

After taking out a curb (this wasn’t the first time) in my relatively new car and damaging a painted chrome wheel, I went to RJ’s Paint Shop to get an assessment.  When you meet RJ for the first time, his looks are deceiving.  His appearance makes you feel that you must be speaking with the child of the owner. That is until you start to talk with him about his vast knowledge and experience with body work and paint.  It is quite evident, very quickly that you are dealing with a skilled veteran.  On any given day, you could drive by the shop and find some of the most exotic cars being worked on.  RJ has performed custom body work and paint on Lamborghinis, Ferraris, hot rods and other high-brow vehicles. Quality, service and dedication to their craft are three reasons that make RJ’s Paint Shop one of the best in the Tri-Valley.

Dubai or not to Dubai? That is the question.

February 6, 2008

Ever considered buying property outside of your resident state?  How about investing outside of your country? Well, there are interesting opportunities in many far-away locales, but lately I’ve been fascinated by real estate in a place half-way around the world where something very different is happening.

Back in October, 60 minutes conducted an interview with Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum. I caught the interview and it was intriguing to hear how Dubai, one of the few Arabian states open to the West in terms of social and cultural integration is growing like wild fire. Dubai is creating a real estate and property boDubai Man Made Islandsom at a staggering rate. People from all over the world, especially from Europe, South Africa and portions of Asia are turning toward this country to live and invest. Despite lying in a region that is typically seeped in formality and strict conventions, Dubai has created a setting reflective of globalization. Gone are the strict restrictions on religion, selling of alcohol and formal dress code. Dubai has focused on creating a very open societal nature where people looking to move into the country are free to practice their own religion, alcohol is served in hotels and the dress code is liberal.

One of the most interesting parts of Dubai is… Read more
